Hunger Games review

I had watch “Hunger Games” and haven’t finish reading the book but I want to share about some personal opinion or feeling about this movie.
The concept of this movie isn’t new because Death Race and Gamer did it just a couple of years. Besides, some of the HK movie also uses it before.
At the beginning of this movie is just too flat because of no background music at all when movie show how katniss everdeen’s life is and the reaping day while the scene of katniss and peeta on Capitol government are full of orchestra music as colorful as butterfly. I know it could be need to make a good contrast between poor and rich area or to create tension of reaping day but at least put in little part of quiet sad music background. It’s just my personal opinion.
For this Hunger Games event, it was told that is a punishment for the past rebellion but the tributes become some kind of celebrities, wined, dined, and interview on talk shows. It’s a bit confused here.
Head of the capitol said that is not only the punishment also giving hope to people. Hope that tributes’ parent hope their children can be the winner of the game. How it works? I am not sure because the game chose the tributes by lottery and have only one winner in that game. The chance of winning the game is too little and the winner of the games every year is almost won by district 1 which is high trained killing machine.
On the other hand, the movie reduces the violent to the minimum which is good. At the starting point of the games, there have tributes killing each other when they get the weapon and there are no background sound of it to reduce the violent. The good part of the movie is graphic environment of the capitol city and the view.
Last, in the end of this movie, I heard the word fox face and I didn’t know who they talking about until I read the books. I know that book has been filleted for the screen and became simplify. I can understand about this. Yup, that’s all. Some of the opinion is come from Cyprus mail movie review and I just have same confusion. Anything I get wrong can leave comment.
I will try my best read the whole book of hunger games.
