Hunger Games review

I had watch “Hunger Games” and haven’t finish reading the book but I want to share about some personal opinion or feeling about this movie.
The concept of this movie isn’t new because Death Race and Gamer did it just a couple of years. Besides, some of the HK movie also uses it before.
At the beginning of this movie is just too flat because of no background music at all when movie show how katniss everdeen’s life is and the reaping day while the scene of katniss and peeta on Capitol government are full of orchestra music as colorful as butterfly. I know it could be need to make a good contrast between poor and rich area or to create tension of reaping day but at least put in little part of quiet sad music background. It’s just my personal opinion.
For this Hunger Games event, it was told that is a punishment for the past rebellion but the tributes become some kind of celebrities, wined, dined, and interview on talk shows. It’s a bit confused here.
Head of the capitol said that is not only the punishment also giving hope to people. Hope that tributes’ parent hope their children can be the winner of the game. How it works? I am not sure because the game chose the tributes by lottery and have only one winner in that game. The chance of winning the game is too little and the winner of the games every year is almost won by district 1 which is high trained killing machine.
On the other hand, the movie reduces the violent to the minimum which is good. At the starting point of the games, there have tributes killing each other when they get the weapon and there are no background sound of it to reduce the violent. The good part of the movie is graphic environment of the capitol city and the view.
Last, in the end of this movie, I heard the word fox face and I didn’t know who they talking about until I read the books. I know that book has been filleted for the screen and became simplify. I can understand about this. Yup, that’s all. Some of the opinion is come from Cyprus mail movie review and I just have same confusion. Anything I get wrong can leave comment.
I will try my best read the whole book of hunger games.

Pink Slime

Pink Slime is actually unusuable thing of cow when everthing usable has been removed from cow and clean it with ammonium hydroxide.
McDonald’s and other fast-food chains announced that the infamous “pink slime” was no longer being used in their burgers, some thought the ammonium hydroxide-treated beef cuts had disappeared from their food supply once and for all.

Cobra vs Cute Mongoose ( you might be surprised at the outcome )
The king cobra is the world’s longest venomous snake. King cobra can kill an adult by single bite because of its venom. The average long of King cobra is 3.6-4m and weight is about 6 kg. Although their size are large, they are fast and agile.

Skin color of king cobra is olive green, tan, black and others. The venom of the king cobra consist of neurotoxins and cardiotoxic. The venom can cause paralysis, vetigo, and drowsiness. The venom of baby King cobra is as strong as the adult’s venom.

The main point of mongoose win is the speed and accuracy. Although mongoose misses the bite at the time of 1.36, it succeeds on the second bite and end the match. Cobra is fast but mongoose faster. Hope you enjoy watching this post.

Great defense of Red-bellied newt towards frog
I like red-bellied newt since I watch it in Nat geo Wild channel. Newt is kind of amphibian the of Salamandridae family. The color of the skin is tomato red which is special and nice.

The defense of this red-bellied newt is brownish black topside on their skin to avoid being notice. When the first defense fails, they will pull their head and tail back to reveal their bright red underside. The last defense is the most dangerous which is red-bellied newt has enough of neurotoxin called tetrodotoxin in their skin that can easily kill an adult human, or 7500 (from wikipedia)

Enough for the description and this is the cool video I want to share. It is about how red-bellied defeat frog by its strong defense.
The strong poison defense defeats the frog! After watching this I realized that it can apply in human world, someone can focus on building strong defense rather than try to think of how to attack people. If you have
a strong and steady base then no one will defeat you easily.

Working Trip
The first time I visited to Kelantan for exhibition with boss and colleagues. Along the way to Kelantan, got 3 pigs inside the car +one poor driver (my boss) =) We went for dinner at China town in Kelantan. After dinner, we saw a small hawker stall selling nasi kukus at the roadside.

No matter what you had ordered, he will add four kinds of (Chili? Sambal ? Curry paste? Belacan? ). The combination makes the nasi kukus taste good.
After the exhibition in Kelantan, we went to Terengganu. In Terengganu, we went for china town too. When I arrived at the China Town in Terengganu, I once think that I was in Malacca because the design of the house and decoration almost same like Malacca.

After all the exhibition ended, we go back KL. We’re tired and sleepy.
I’m regretting to blog this post already. I’m craving for Seremban crab!!!!!!
